Join our Teaching Development & Innovation (TDI) team as a Project Management Officer and help shape the future of vocational education. Working across learning design, curriculum, training and educational product development projects, you'll provide the coordination, governance and project management support across the institute!

In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring major course development projects are completed effectively, in line with BHI's product development strategy. Working closely with the Product Development Manager, Learning Designers, subject matter experts and key stakeholders. You'll play a hands-on role driving projects that enhance teaching, improve the student experience and create meaningful educational outcomes.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering a salary of $97,159 plus 12% superannuation.

About the role
As the Project Management Officer, you will support the successful delivery of learning product development, course refresh and quality improvement projects across the Teaching Development and Innovation division.
This is a hands-on coordination role where you'll oversee project schedules, track milestones, manage reporting, monitor risks and facilitate communication between multiple contributors and stakeholders.
Acting as the central point of coordination, you'll work closely with the Product Development Manager, Learning Experience Designers, Multimedia Developers and Subject Matter Experts to support the development of curriculum, online learning and educational products that enhance teaching, learning and student outcomes.
What you'll do:
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules and delivery timelines
- Coordinate project activities across Learning Experience Designers, Multimedia Developers and Subject Matter Experts
- Monitor project progress and identify risks, issues and resource constraints
- Facilitate project meetings, milestone reviews and stakeholder workshops
- Maintain project documentation, registers and governance records
- Prepare project reports, dashboards and status updates for stakeholders
- Support project governance, quality assurance and continuous improvement activities
- Drive collaboration across multiple teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Contribute to the development of project management frameworks, tools and processes
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated experience in a Project Management Officer, Project Coordinator or similar project delivery role
- Experience coordinating multiple projects within a complex organisational environment
- Strong project planning, scheduling, tracking and reporting skills
- Experience maintaining project documentation, risk registers, action registers and project governance records
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Experience preparing reports, dashboards, presentations and project updates for decision-makers
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to identify and resolve issues before they impact delivery
Qualifications/Requirements
- Qualification in Project Management, Business, Business Administration, Education or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Project Management certification such as PRINCE2, Agile, PMP or similar is highly regarded
- Working with Children Check
- National Police Check
