As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence, we are looking to expand our kitchen team with the addition of a passionate and experienced Pastry Chef. Role We are seeking a qualified Pastry Chef to manage all aspects of our dessert and baked goods production. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting a wide range of pastries, cakes, and desserts that align with our high culinary standards. This role will involve creativity, precision, and a strong understanding of food safety and quality control. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, desserts, breads, and other baked goods.
  • Decorate and present desserts and pastries to high aesthetic and taste standards.
  • Develop and test new dessert recipes and seasonal pastry menus.
  • Ensure freshness and consistency of all products served.
  • Manage inventory and ordering of pastry-specific ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of pastry section and equipment.
  • Ensure all baked goods comply with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Work with the Head Chef and broader kitchen team to coordinate dessert production.
  • Train and guide junior kitchen staff or apprentices when required.
  • Manage workflow to meet service timeframes and customer expectations.
Skills and Qualifications
  • AQF Certificate III in Patisserie or equivalent (ANZSCO Skill Level 3).
  • Minimum of 3 years' full-time work experience in a commercial pastry role.
  • High attention to detail, creativity, and a strong aesthetic sense.
  • Solid knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Availability to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
