Green Light Worldwide is seeking an experienced Two-Way Radio Technician for an exciting assignment with a major resources organisation in Papua New Guinea (PNG).

In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, configuration, provisioning, and deployment of a new fleet of radio communication devices across a large-scale operational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting, installing, maintaining, repairing, and configuring mobile radio and broadband wireless equipment.
  • Inspect and test electronic equipment, components and assemblies using multimeters, circuit testers, and other electronic test instruments, tools, and equipment.
  • Diagnose and locate circuit, component, and equipment faults.
  • Configure two-way radio and associated electronic equipment, assemblies, and components.
  • Complete work orders along with testing and maintenance reports
  • Maintaining internal and customer infrastructure.
  • Working with other departments to evaluate and confirm customer requirements when required.
  • Performing equipment programming.

Requirements:

  • Previous work experience with wireless broadband and/or Two-Way Radio equipment, specifically Motorola is considered an asset.
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience as a Field Service Technician, Telecommunications Engineer, or equivalent role.
  • Experience with Motorola two-way radio equipment including installation, programming, troubleshooting, maintenance, and monitoring.
  • Must be reliable, and willing to work with a fluid and varying schedule.
  • Ability to effectively problem-solve.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
