We're seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across Australia and New Zealand for a global technology leader experiencing rapid growth in the data centre and infrastructure solutions market.
This is a 70% new business development and 30% strategic account management role, focused on winning and growing enterprise opportunities across server hardware, rack infrastructure and data centre solutions. You'll work with large enterprise customers, government, System Integrators (SIs), Value Added Resellers (VARs) and distribution partners, managing opportunities from initial engagement through to contract award.

About the role
You'll be responsible for building a strong sales pipeline, developing strategic customer relationships, and driving revenue growth across Australia and New Zealand. Working alongside technical specialists and internal support teams, you'll manage complex enterprise sales cycles while identifying opportunities to expand existing accounts.
This role is ideal for a commercially driven sales professional who enjoys hunting for new business, managing large strategic opportunities, and building long-term customer partnerships.
Key responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic sales plans across enterprise, government and channel customers throughout Australia and New Zealand

Generate new business opportunities within large enterprise organisations, government agencies, System Integrators (SIs), Value Added Resellers (VARs) and distribution partners

Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline across both short-term opportunities and strategic enterprise projects

Manage the full sales lifecycle from prospecting and opportunity qualification through to commercial negotiation and contract close

Develop strong relationships with executive decision-makers including CIOs, CTOs, Infrastructure Managers and procurement teams

Identify and secure proof-of-concept opportunities that lead to broader infrastructure deployments

Partner closely with technical, product, marketing and support teams to deliver successful customer outcomes

Prepare accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting using CRM systems

Support enterprise tenders, strategic bids and large infrastructure projects, with opportunities ranging from $100K through to $10M+

Grow existing accounts while identifying new revenue opportunities across your customer portfolio

Maintain strong relationships with distributors and channel partners to accelerate enterprise opportunities

Stay current with developments across server hardware, data centre infrastructure and enterprise technology markets

About you

Demonstrated experience in business development or enterprise sales within server hardware, data centre infrastructure, networking or related enterprise IT solutions

Existing relationships across enterprise customers, System Integrators (SIs), Value Added Resellers (VARs) or distribution partners

Experience selling server, rack, storage or infrastructure hardware solutions into enterprise environments

A genuine hunter mentality with the ability to generate new opportunities while strategically growing existing accounts

Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with experience managing complex enterprise sales cycles

Experience managing large strategic opportunities with sales cycles of up to six months or longer
-
Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships at executive level
-
Strong pipeline management, forecasting and CRM discipline
-
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Australian Citizenship preferred due to future Defence-related opportunities requiring NV1 Security Clearance)

A current Australian Driver's Licence
