Are you a geologist who wants to build something from scratch rather than inherit someone else’s system?
We are partnering with an ASX-listed gold company with a significant resource base and a clear growth trajectory across the WA Goldfields. As open pits launch and underground operations expand, the geology function at a new open pit operation is being stood up from day one — and this role leads that effort.

This is a hands-on technical leadership position with real ownership. If you are energised by setting up grade control programs, mentoring a team and working closely with mining and processing to optimise outcomes, this is worth a conversation.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish grade control for new open pit.
• Build and improve geological and GC models.
• Supervise geologists, technicians, and contractor performance.
• Analyse data to optimise ore recovery outcomes.
• Collaborate with engineers for short-term planning.

About You

• Hard rock mining experience with geology qualification.
• Reconciliation, sampling, drilling, and strong grade control.
• Surpac, Vulcan, or Leapfrog modelling proficiency required.
• Lead pit technicians and mine geologists daily.
• Collaborate across mining, processing, and survey teams.
