Senior Payroll Officer

Full-time

Core Talent

We're partnering with a rapidly growing international organisation that is continuing to expand its footprint across the Asia-Pacific region. As the business grows, so does the importance of its payroll function.

We're looking for an experienced Dayforce Payroll Specialist who enjoys problem-solving, improving processes, and becoming the trusted expert that colleagues turn to for support. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing team where your expertise will be valued, your ideas will be heard, and your career can continue to grow.

Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate and compliant payroll services while acting as a senior point of contact for complex payroll matters.

Benefits:

  • A true 2IC opportunity
  • Lots of discounts
  • Clear pathways for career growth within a successful global business
  • A flexible workplace backed by a supportive leadership team
  • Access to wellbeing programs and employee support services
  • Generous parental leave and a range of additional leave benefits
  • A collaborative and engaging team environment with regular social activities
  • The opportunity to contribute to meaningful improvements and projects, not just day-to-day payroll processing

Your day to day:

  • Processing end-to-end payroll across Australia and New Zealand using Dayforce
  • Managing employee life cycle transactions including terminations, redundancies, long service leave and backpay calculations
  • Reviewing payroll inputs, time and attendance data, and approvals to ensure accuracy
  • Acting as a key escalation point for complex payroll queries and issues
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business and providing expert payroll guidance
  • Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies while ensuring a positive employee experience
  • Producing payroll reports and analysing payroll data to support business decision-making
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve controls and enhance payroll efficiency
  • Supporting payroll tax, superannuation, year-end activities and reconciliation processes
  • Maintaining compliance with relevant Australian and New Zealand legislation and regulations
  • Contributing to audit requirements and payroll governance initiatives
  • Leveraging Dayforce functionality to improve reporting, automation and data accuracy
  • Assisting with payroll-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives as the business continues to grow

About you:

  • Proven experience using Dayforce
  • 3+ years' experience in a high-volume payroll environment
  • Strong knowledge of payroll tax, superannuation, terminations, redundancies, long service leave and year-end processes
