Senior Security Engineer

Employment: Permanent Role

Location: Sydney, Australia - Hybrid

Eligibility: Candidates must have the right to work in Australia (Citizen, PR, Valid Visa holders).

We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Engineering Engineer to drive secure-by-design practices across cloud, application, and container platforms in a multi-cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls for applications, containers, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.
• Lead secure software supply chain initiatives, including SAST, SCA, DAST , and CI/CD security integration.
• Implement container security controls, image signing, SBOM, vulnerability management, and runtime protection.
• Drive shift-left security, security automation, and auto-remediation practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Cyber Security teams to embed security across the SDLC.
• Support AI-driven security initiatives and cloud-native security enhancements.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps/DevSecOps and Kubernetes/Docker environments.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines , cloud security ( AWS, Azure, or GCP ), and Infrastructure as Code ( Terraform/CloudFormation ).
• Hands-on expertise in SAST, SCA, DAST , container security, and software supply chain security.
• Programming experience in Python, Go, or similar languages .
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, NIST, Zero Trust, Essential 8 , and cloud security best practices.

Preferred

• Certifications such as CKA, CKS, AWS/Azure/GCP Security , or DevSecOps certifications.
• Experience with SBOM, SLSA, AI/ML , and modern cloud-native security technologies.
