Identity and Access Management (IAM) Officer

We're seeking an experienced Identity & Access Management (IAM) Officer to support and enhance a large-scale enterprise IAM environment within the Queensland Department of Education.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled cyber security and information security team, contributing to the delivery of secure access management services across one of Queensland's largest ICT environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms
• Manage user lifecycle processes including provisioning, modifications and deprovisioning
• Configure and support authentication and authorisation services
• Assist with onboarding applications into IAM and federation platforms
• Troubleshoot and resolve IAM-related incidents and service requests
• Support identity governance, reconciliation and access control activities
• Collaborate with project and operational teams to deliver IAM solutions aligned with security standards
• Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills & Experience Required

• 3+ years' experience in Identity & Access Management within a large enterprise environment
• Strong experience with Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM/FIM) and Active Directory
• Experience with authentication, authorisation and identity lifecycle management
• Knowledge of federation technologies and protocols including SSO, SAML and OAuth
• Experience integrating applications with enterprise IAM solutions
• Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder engagement skills

Highly Desirable

• Experience with Ping Identity Suite (PingFederate, PingAccess)
• Exposure to Privileged Access Management (PAM/PAS) solutions such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust or Delinea
• Identity governance and access management experience
• Scripting or development experience in C#, .NET, Java or PowerShell
• Experience working within government or other large complex ICT environments
