Your new companyAn exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Associate Director (Architecture) to join a highly regarded design practice. This leadership role is suited to a commercially minded architect who can win work, lead projects, and mentor teams, while contributing to the strategic growth of the business. You will play a pivotal role in client engagement, project delivery, and team leadership, helping elevate the firms market presence and design outcomes.
Your new role

Build and maintain strong client relationships Identify and secure new project opportunities Prepare and deliver proposals, tenders, and presentations Develop fee proposals and respond to enquiries Maintain market intelligence and industry connections Lead projects across all stages (design through delivery)Develop and oversee project plans, budgets, and timelines Manage client expectations through regular communication Ensure high-quality documentation and project outcomes Deliver projects on time and within budget Lead client briefing and establish project vision Guide design direction and communicate concepts Oversee preparation of drawings and documentation Stay informed on design trends, materials, and workplace innovation Lead, mentor, and inspire project teams Contribute to resourcing, recruitment, and staff development Support continuous improvement and business processes Act as a role model and foster a collaborative team culture Represent the practice at industry events and networking opportunities Contribute to publications and thought leadership Support initiatives to elevate brand presence

What you'll need to succeed8 to 10+ years experience in architectural practiceMulti-residential, high-rise residential or mixed-use residential experience preferredProven track record in client management and project deliveryExperience leading teams and managing complex projectsStrong commercial acumen with exposure to business developmentExcellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skillsDemonstrated design excellence across completed projectsStrong documentation and delivery expertiseAbility to articulate concepts through sketches and presentationsProficiency in preparing proposals, reports, and submissionsRegistered ArchitectRegistered Design Practitioner (or ability to obtain)
