Alliance Cost Manager (High Capacity Signalling)

As the  Alliance Cost Manager in Perth, for the High Capacity Signalling Project, this is a senior level opportunity to lead the design and development of cost management strategies for a complex rail project for WA.

Main tasks :

  • Establish and manage Work Package (WP) governance across the Alliance, including monthly WP performance reviews.
  • Partner with WP Owners to challenge costs, identify savings opportunities, and drive commercial outcomes.
  • Develop and monitor key project controls metrics, including Total Outturn Cost (TOC), Estimate at Completion (EAC), and Earned Value performance.
  • Deliver accurate cost forecasting, reporting, and financial insights to support informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project delivery teams to optimise project performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement through innovative cost control practices, digital tools, and best-practice project controls.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and capability development across Alliance partners and internal stakeholders.

You’ll work with sharp, committed teams across Altom — solving complex challenges that shape the future of mobility.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • +8 years’ experience in financial reporting and cost management within major infrastructure projects.
  • Expertise in cost estimation, financial modeling, and project controls software.
  • Strong understanding of alliance contracting, risk management, and value engineering.
  • Proven leadership, stakeholder engagement, and strategic decision-making skills.
