Financial Accountant

We are interested in hearing from candidates with a range of accounting backgrounds. This role could suit an established Financial Accountant, an Auditor seeking a move into industry, or an Assistant Accountant with strong financial accounting experience looking to take the next step in their career.

The Role
This is a broad and hands-on accounting role supporting a complex multi-entity environment. You will play an important role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting business performance through quality insights, and contributing to ongoing system and process improvements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and timely resolution of variances
• Preparation of monthly management reports, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
• Management of month-end processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments and intercompany reconciliations
• Supporting GST, PAYE and statutory compliance requirements
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and audit processes

You will ideally have:

• CA qualification, working towards CA, or equivalent experience
• Experience in financial accounting, external audit, assistant accounting or a similar finance role
• Strong understanding of month-end processes, reconciliations and financial reporting
• Experience working within a complex or multi-entity environment would be advantageous
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability
