About the Role



 
My client is part of Australia's next-gen advisory firm, bringing legal, accounting, strategy, M&A and corporate advisory together under one roof. Their accounting arm is laser-focused on startups, tech and VC clients, which means the work looks a little different to a typical accounting firm.
They're looking for a Bookkeeper to join their Accounting team and support a portfolio of ambitious, fast-moving clients. If you want real variety in your day-to-day and exposure to founders and growing businesses — not just routine compliance — this is the role for you.



 
What You'll Be Doing

• Processing day-to-day bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable
• Completing bank, credit card and loan reconciliations
• Processing payroll, including Single Touch Payroll filings
• Preparing and lodging BAS, IAS and other statutory obligations
• Supporting month-end close and financial reporting
• Building strong relationships with clients through regular check-ins

What You'll Bring

• Minimum 1 years' experience in a bookkeeping or similar role
• Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping (or working towards further study)
• Solid experience with Xero and/or MYOB
• Working knowledge of BAS/IAS, PAYG and GST
• Strong Excel skills and great attention to detail
• A proactive, can-do attitude and genuine enjoyment of client work
