FreshSNAP Program Manager
Full-time or part-time (0.8FTE), fixed term to 30 June 2027 | Subiaco + hybrid | Reports to CEO
Want to shape how an entire state's schools eat? This is your chance.
National Nutrition Foundation is looking for an experienced program leader to drive FreshSNAP – the Fresh School Nutrition Advisory Program, funded by the Department of Health Western Australia. FreshSNAP supports schools across WA in adopting a whole of school approach to healthy eating and drinking. From curriculum resources for teachers, to supporting school leadership in developing and implementing healthy policies, to helping canteens and food services using FoodChecker, FreshSNAP provides the tools to create lasting change.
You'll lead a passionate team, manage the relationship with the Department of Health Western Australia and build partnerships across the education and health promotion sectors – from the Western Australian Council of State School Organisations to the WA Health Promoting Schools Association. You'll be the program's public voice and its strategic driver, with real ownership of planning, budget, evaluation and growth.
Reporting to the CEO, you'll:
- Lead the program – deliver on the program logic and implementation plan, turning strategy into results
- Lead the team – coach, develop and inspire your program team
- Manage the money – own the budget and deliver the program on it
- Drive continuous improvement – manage monitoring, evaluation and reporting (internal and external), and use data, insights and program feedback loops to strengthen and grow the program
- Build relationships – take the lead with the Department of Health Western Australia, engage schools across the state, and establish and grow local networks
We're looking for someone with tertiary qualifications ideally in health promotion, public health or a related discipline, senior-level stakeholder experience, and a track record of leading teams and public health programs to deliver results.
This is a rare opportunity to make a genuine, measurable difference to the health of Western Australian kids.
