The Role

  • Lead the finance function, overseeing day-to-day financial operations across the business.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management reports, board reporting packs and year-end financial statements.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning to support operational and strategic decisions.
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, month-end processes and maintenance of strong internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax obligations and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Partner with operational leaders to provide commercial insights on revenue, margins, labour costs and overall business performance.
  • Drive process improvements across finance systems, reporting and controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage payroll oversight, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger activities.
  • Support audits and act as a key point of contact for external accountants, auditors and advisers.
  • Lead, mentor and develop finance team members while fostering a collaborative and accountable culture.

About You

  • You are a proven Financial Controller, Finance Manager or senior accounting professional with experience in a fast-moving environment.
  • Prior experience in hospitality, restaurants, catering, retail or other multi-site consumer-facing businesses will be highly regarded.
  • You have strong technical accounting knowledge and a track record of delivering accurate reporting and financial control.
  • You bring a commercial mindset and enjoy partnering with stakeholders outside of finance.
  • You are confident leading budgets, forecasts, cash flow and performance analysis.
  • You are hands-on, detail-oriented and comfortable working in an environment where priorities can shift quickly.
  • You have strong systems skills and are confident improving processes and reporting capability.
  • You are a clear communicator who can build trust with senior leaders and operational teams alike.
  • Relevant accounting qualifications such as CA, CPA or equivalent are preferred.
