About the role
TRS Staffing is currently searching for a Construction Manager that will be responsible for day-to-day construction leadership, field coordination, & execution performance across the General Site Services scope & approved execution baseline. The role provides leadership to Superintendents, Supervisors, & contractor partners to ensure GSS are delivered safely, efficiently.


Duties and responsibilities

• Support the Area Manager in the delivery of the GSS scope by leading field execution activities & supervising the safe, efficient, & reliable delivery of construction support services across the project.
• Provide leadership and direction to Superintendents, Supervisors, & contractors responsible for scaffolding, cranage & lifting operations, industrial services, temporary power, survey, temporary facilities, equipment management, fuel distribution, logistics support, & other site-wide enabling services required for project execution.
• Lead the identification, prioritisation, & removal of construction execution constraints, ensuring GSS effectively support the productivity, schedule, & delivery objectives of the construction Areas.
• Coordinate resources, equipment, personnel, & contractor activities to ensure support services are available at the required time, location, & capacity to meet project demands.
• Drive daily, weekly, & execution planning activities to ensure services are aligned with construction priorities, critical path activities, commissioning requirements, & emerging project needs.
• Monitor work fronts & proactively resolve constraints related to access, scaffolding, lifting resources, temporary power, facilities, logistics, equipment availability, workforce capacity, & operational interfaces before they impact execution performance.
• Actively support HSEQ leadership by promoting a visible safety culture, ensuring critical controls are implemented, identifying field risks, & driving closure of corrective actions.
• Establish & maintain high standards of contractor performance, workforce productivity, execution discipline, & service reliability across all GSS contracts.
• Manage field interfaces between construction contractors, commissioning teams, operational stakeholders, & GSS providers to ensure safe and efficient execution across multiple work fronts.
• Support execution readiness by ensuring labor, equipment, materials, facilities, permits, temporary works, & supporting documentation are in place to safely execute planned activities.
• Monitor progress against plan, identify emerging delivery risks & productivity impacts, & implement recovery actions to maintain project objectives & critical milestones.
• Contribute to risk identification, assessment, mitigation, & escalation activities, ensuring field execution risks are effectively managed & communicated to project leadership.
• Provide timely & accurate input into area performance reporting, including safety, productivity, contractor performance, schedule achievement, constraint management, & execution readiness metrics.
• Lead field-based problem solving and operational decision-making, resolving day-to-day execution issues & escalating matters that threaten safety, schedule, cost, quality, or project outcomes.
• Reinforce compliance with project procedures, statutory obligations, contractual requirements, & approved work processes across all GSS activities.
• Develop and mentor Superintendents, Supervisors, & frontline leaders, building capability, accountability, & succession depth within the GSS team.

Skills and experience required

• Degree in a relevant discipline (Civil / Construction).
• Minimum 15 years' experience in mining, construction.
• Experience supervising scaffolding, lifting resources, temporary power, facilities, logistics, equipment availability, workforce capacity, & operational interfaces.
• Strong understanding of construction general services.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
