  • Appoint are partnering with a government organisation to recruit multiple Finance Officers to join a high-performing team supporting a large portfolio of civil infrastructure projects across a regional environment.

    About the Role
    As a Finance Officer, you will play a key role in delivering financial administration and advice across a high volume of active projects. Working closely with Project Managers and a broader finance team, you will contribute to effective financial management, compliance, and governance across infrastructure delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide detailed financial advice relating to civil infrastructure projects
    • Analyse and interpret financial data to deliver clear, timely insights
    • Manage competing priorities to meet deadlines and deliverables
    • Apply relevant policies, procedures, and financial frameworks
    • Conduct governance checks to ensure compliance prior to processing requests
    • Prepare and process financial documentation, including:
      • Financial approvals
      • General and timesheet journals
      • Building Infrastructure Fairness claims
      • Contract reconciliations
    • Maintain accurate tracking registers using Excel and SharePoint
    • Liaise with Project Managers regarding financial requirements
    • Follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely completion
    • Provide guidance and support to team members and stakeholders when required

    About You
    You are a detail-oriented finance professional with strong organisational and time management skills. You will demonstrate:

    • High attention to detail and sound judgement
    • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
    • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently and in a team
