We are seeking a motivated and experienced Engineering Technologist to join our growing team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will play a key role in improving manufacturing processes, supporting product development, implementing quality assurance systems and providing technical expertise to enhance operational efficiency.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Engineering Technologist to join our growing team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will play a key role in improving manufacturing processes, supporting product development, implementing quality assurance systems and providing technical expertise to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyse existing manufacturing and installation processes and recommend engineering solutions to improve productivity, efficiency and product quality.
- Develop, evaluate and implement production methods, workflows and technical procedures for the manufacture and installation of blinds, shutters and customised window furnishing systems.
- Prepare and interpret technical drawings, specifications, engineering documentation and production instructions using relevant design software.
- Assist in the development, testing and refinement of new products, components and installation systems to meet customer and industry requirements.
- Evaluate materials, hardware and manufacturing techniques to optimise product performance, durability and cost-effectiveness.
- Investigate production issues, identify root causes and recommend practical engineering solutions to minimise downtime and improve operational performance.
- Monitor production quality and implement quality assurance procedures to ensure products comply with Australian standards, company specifications and customer expectations.
- Coordinate with production staff, installers, suppliers and management to ensure engineering requirements are effectively integrated into manufacturing and installation operations.
- Conduct technical assessments of custom projects and provide engineering support for complex installations.
- Assist in planning equipment upgrades, production improvements and preventative maintenance programs to maximise manufacturing efficiency.
- Prepare technical reports, engineering calculations, process documentation and performance analyses for management review.
- Ensure engineering activities comply with relevant workplace health and safety requirements and applicable industry regulations.
- Relevant qualifications
- At least 2-3 years' experience in engineering technology, manufacturing operations or production engineering is highly regarded.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems and production planning.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering and design software will be advantageous.
