Quality Control Officer

We’re looking for an experienced Quality Control Officer to join our team and play a key role in maintaining and continuously improving our quality and food safety standards.

About the Role

As a key contributor to our day-to-day quality operations, you’ll work closely with Production to ensure raw materials, processes and finished products consistently meet VMC’s quality, safety and compliance requirements.

This role suits someone who is confident working on the floor, brings a strong understanding of food safety systems, and takes ownership of quality outcomes while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

You’ll support a Production schedule operating between 6am–6pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work as required.

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct quality control inspections across raw materials, in-process and finished goods
• Identify, investigate and support resolution of quality issues and non-conformances
• Review and verify production documentation, including batch records and BOMs
• Support and contribute to continuous improvement of quality systems and processes
• Conduct internal audits of production processes and documentation
• Partner with Production teams to ensure adherence to GMP, HACCP and product specifications
• Maintain accurate quality records and reporting
• Promote and uphold a strong food safety and quality culture across the business

About You

You’re experienced, detail-focused and confident working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You take ownership, communicate effectively, and aren’t afraid to step in and solve problems on the floor.

Experience

• Previous experience in FMCG, food or regulated manufacturing quality control (essential)
• Demonstrated experience working with GMP, HACCP and quality systems (essential)
• Exposure to health supplements or regulated products (desirable)
• Tertiary qualification in Science or related discipline (desirable)
