Lead GCP Engineer

The Role:

A Principal/Lead GCP Engineer is required to design, develop, build and operate sophisticated and highly automated secure GCP infrastructure. 

• Build and deliver solutions that combine architectural vision with hands-on technical experience using some of the latest cloud technologies and methods
• Define and drive new architectures based on the applicable regulatory compliance standards and work with multiple stakeholders to gain endorsement.
• End to end ownership of projects and solutions.
• Perform troubleshooting, analysis and resolve issues as needed to achieve project outcomes
• Liaise with the project team, clients, vendors and stakeholders using multiple communication channels to manage the delivery of the project.

Experience:

• Strong understanding of cloud environments, cloud-first strategy and particularly GCP as a cloud solution.
• GCP certifications in Cloud Architecture, DevOps Engineering and/or Cloud Development (Professional Cloud Architect, Professional DevOps Engineer, Professional Cloud Developer).
• Ability to identify trends relating to products and services and communicate them effectively.
• Ability to lead and mentor others where appropriate.
• The ability to script in at least one language (Python or Bash preferred) and have a willingness to learn new ones.
• Infrastructure as Code - Experience with large scale implementations of IaC, particularly in GCP environments (preferably Terraform or Deployment Manager).
