Jacobs’ Energy and Power business plays a key role in the energy transition across the Asia Pacific region. In Western Australia, we are growing our power capability to support major investment in renewables, transmission, electrification, and critical infrastructure.
We are seeking a Senior Associate Electrical Engineer to join our Energy & Power Infrastructure team in Perth, offering a clear pathway as a Team Lead for Western Australia and Northern Territory. This exciting opportunity is ideal for an engineer looking to broaden their technical guidance, client exposure, team mentoring and development capability, in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee delivery of medium and high voltage (up to 66kV) power engineering packages across transmission and distribution projects, including substations, HV connections and reticulation, earthing and bonding, EMC, electrical protection systems, traction power, EV infrastructure, and renewable energy projects.
- Act as a team, planning work, allocating tasks, and coordinating engineers to deliver quality outcomes to programe and budget.
- Provide technical direction, design review, and coordination across local teams and Jacobs’ Global Delivery Centres.
- Engage directly with clients, contributing to technical discussions, proposals, bids, and broader business development activities.
- Mentor engineers and promote a high performance, collaborative, and safety‑focused team culture.
Here's what you'll need
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise in medium and high voltage power systems (upto 66kV), ideally within a consulting environment, with exposure across infrastructure, energy, utilities, or related sectors.
- Prior experience leading workstreams or technical packages, with a desire to grow into broader team and client ownership.
- Proven experience mentoring engineers or acting as an informal team lead.
- Growing commercial capability, with exposure to client engagement, proposal development and work winning activities and navigating a multidisciplinary environment.
