Golding is currently seeking an experienced  Specialist Maintenance Engineer to join our team on site at the  Meandu Mine Project . Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role responsible for providing technical expertise across our mobile fleet, driving reliability improvements, optimising maintenance strategies, and ensuring safe, efficient performance of critical production assets.

This is an opportunity to make a real impact, delivering engineering insights, influencing long-term maintenance outcomes, and supporting a team committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

This position operates on a 9 day fortnight . Locals are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead maintenance and reliability engineering activities for the mobile plant fleet, fixed plant including CHPP and dragline
  • Analyse equipment performance data to identify trends, recurring failures, and improvement opportunities
  • Develop, review, and optimise maintenance strategies, PMs, and work instructions
  • Provide technical support to supervisors, trades, and operational teams
  • Conduct and facilitate root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions
  • Support planning and execution of major component change‑outs and shutdowns
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory requirements, and OEM guidelines
  • Collaborate with OEMs and contractors to improve fleet reliability and performance and
  • Contribute to long‑term maintenance planning, budgeting, and asset improvement projects.

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in  Mechanical Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience with mobile plant including draglines and exposure in fixed infrastructure and CHPP in open cut coal or heavy industry environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret data and convert insights into practical maintenance solutions
  • Effective communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance and
  • Safety‑focused, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
