    About the Role

    Our client, a global organisation, is seeking a Power BI Developer to join their Data Analytics team, responsible for developing, enhancing and supporting Power BI dashboards, semantic models, datasets and reporting solutions. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced Power BI professional with strong dashboard development, data modelling and BAU reporting support experience who enjoys working closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver actionable insight

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, datasets and semantic models to deliver accurate and actionable business insights.
    • Build and optimise DAX calculations, Power Query transformations, SQL queries and reporting datasets, ensuring strong performance and usability.
    • Support BAU reporting activities including monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, data validation, reconciliations, issue resolution and production support.
    • Partner with business stakeholders, analysts and data engineers to gather requirements, define KPIs and deliver fit-for-purpose reporting solutions.
    • Drive continuous improvement through dashboard optimisation, report migration, KPI standardisation, self-service reporting initiatives and reporting governance enhancements

    Skills & Experience

    • Experience in Power BI Development, with a strong track record delivering reporting and dashboard solutions.
    • Hands-on expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, SQL, data modelling and dashboard development, including building, testing and optimising datasets, reports and dashboards.
    • Experience supporting BAU reporting operations, dashboard enhancements, production support, data validation and issue resolution.
    • Strong understanding of reporting governance, data quality controls, reconciliations, documentation and reporting best practices.
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate business requirements into reporting solutions, while working independently and collaborating effectively with analytics and technology teams.
    • Experience in insurance industry (desirable)
