Electrical Engineering

Alignerr

Electrical Engineering Expert (AI Training)

About The Role

We're looking for experienced electrical engineers to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. Your domain expertise will directly shape how AI reasons through complex engineering problems — from circuit analysis to power systems to signal processing.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You set your schedule and work on your own terms while contributing to some of the most advanced AI research happening today.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced electrical engineering problems across domains like circuit analysis, power systems, electromagnetics, signal processing, and control systems to stress-test AI performance
  • Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning and evaluation
  • Audit Technical Accuracy — Evaluate AI-generated outputs including code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for correctness, safety, and adherence to engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, etc.)
  • Improve AI Reasoning — Identify flaws in AI logic and provide structured, actionable feedback to help models think more accurately about engineering problems
  • Work Asynchronously — Complete tasks independently on your own schedule with no mandatory meetings or fixed hours

Who You Are

  • Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Strong foundational knowledge in one or more core areas: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, or embedded systems
  • Able to communicate highly technical concepts clearly and concisely in written English
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of precision when reviewing equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data annotation, data quality review, or evaluation systems
  • Familiarity with AI tools or large language models
  • Background spanning multiple electrical engineering subfields

Why Join Us

  • Work on genuinely cutting-edge AI projects alongside top research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
  • Freelance autonomy with the stability of ongoing contract work
  • Gain firsthand exposure to how advanced AI models are trained and evaluated
  • Potential for contract extension and long-term collaboration
  • Make a measurable impact on how AI understands engineering
