We are seeking an experienced

Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical to join a major infrastructure project in Perth's northern suburbs on an initial

4-month contract , with an immediate start available.

This opportunity will suit a mechanically focused Project Engineer with strong

SMP package delivery experience , particularly across fabrication, piping, mechanical installation and site-based project delivery.

The Role

• Manage the delivery of mechanical/SMP packages from fabrication through to installation and commissioning.
• Coordinate subcontractors, fabrication activities, materials and site installation.
• Manage project interfaces across mechanical, piping, structural and other disciplines.
• Monitor programme, costs, quality and progress against project requirements.
• Manage RFIs, technical queries, variations and construction documentation.
• Work closely with engineering, construction, QA/QC and HSE teams.
• Provide technical support and leadership to site-based construction teams.

About You

• Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer or relevant engineering qualification.
• Proven experience as a Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer on major industrial, infrastructure, mining, energy or water projects.
• Strong SMP package delivery experience, including mechanical fabrication, piping and installation.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple project interfaces.
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, QA/QC and project delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Perth-based and residing in the northern suburbs or within a reasonable commute of the project.
• Available for an immediate start.
