An established and growing mechanical services contractor is seeking an ambitious Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of commercial HVAC projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Administrator, Project Coordinator or Junior Project Manager looking to develop their skills and progress into a Project Manager role.

This is also an outstanding opportunity for a Project Manager currently working within a Tier 2 or Tier 3 contractor who is looking to take the next step in their career. Joining a Tier 1 organisation will provide exposure to larger, more complex projects, industry-leading systems and processes, and the support needed to further develop your commercial, leadership and project delivery capabilities. For the right person, this role offers the platform to significantly accelerate their long-term career progression.

The Opportunity

Working closely with experienced Project Managers and Construction Managers, you'll be involved in all aspects of project delivery from planning and procurement through to financial administration, stakeholder management and project completion.

You will gain exposure to:

• Project planning, scheduling and coordination
• Procurement of subcontractors, materials and equipment
• Budget tracking, forecasting and cost control
• Variations, claims and project financial administration
• Client and stakeholder communication
• Document control and compliance management
• Site inspections and project progress meetings
• Quality, safety and risk management processes

This is a hands-on role that provides genuine career development and the opportunity to build the skills required to step into a Project Manager position in the future.

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and eager to build a long-term career in construction project management.

Ideally, you will have:

• Experience in Project Administration, Project Coordination or a Junior Project Management role
• Exposure to HVAC, mechanical services or building services projects
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Sound financial and commercial awareness
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience working with project documentation, procurement and reporting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
• A qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or a related discipline (or currently studying)
