$18,550
Full-time

Pilbara Meta Maya Aboriginal Corporation

Who we are

Established in 1994, Pilbara Meta Maya Regional Aboriginal Corporation (PMMRAC) is a not-for-profit organisation which delivers essential services (power, water and municipal) and community services (environmental health, housing and accommodation facilities) to remote Aboriginal communities across the Pilbara, Gascoyne, and Mid-West regions of Western Australia.

Not Just Another Electrical Role.

We're looking for experienced Electricians to join our Power Generation and Utilities teams supporting remote Aboriginal communities across Western Australia.

This is more than another maintenance or construction role.

Use your trade skills where they matter most, helping maintain the power and infrastructure that remote communities rely on every day.

Depending on your experience, you'll either work alongside an experienced Diesel Fitter on project installs for remote power generation assets, or within a Lineworker crew maintaining and upgrading HV/LV community electrical infrastructure.

The work is technical. The responsibility is real. The impact is immediate.

Why You'll Love It

  • FIFO 15/13 roster
  • Genuine work-life balance with equal time work and home
  • Travel throughout remote and regional WA
  • Diverse and interesting work
  • Small, skilled crews with autonomy and responsibility
  • Work that directly supports remote communities
  • Accommodation and daily meal allowances provided
  • Opportunity to make a genuine difference, not just complete another project

We're Interested In Electricians with Experience In:

Power Generation

  • Diesel generators and gensets
  • Generator controls and automation systems
  • Power stations and remote area power systems
  • Industrial electrical maintenance

OR Utilities & Distribution Networks

  • LV distribution systems
  • Overhead and underground reticulation
  • Utilities and electrical infrastructure
  • Testing, commissioning, electrical installations

About You

  • Current WA Electrical Licence
  • Current C Class Driver's Licence (HR desirable)
  • Current First Aid, CPR and LVR
  • Strong switchboard, control wiring and diagnostic skills
  • Comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Practical, adaptable and solutions-focused

The Bottom Line

In return for bringing yur experience and expertise, you'll benefit from:

  • FIFO 15/13 roster with real work life balance
  • Competitive salary and daily meal allowance
  • Salary package up to $18,550 per annum
  • Novated leasing opportunities and additional packaging available
  • Join a supportive and down-to-earth team culture
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities
  • Travel opportunities across WA
  • The chance to contribute to improving the lives of Aboriginal people
  • Access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for free and confidential support

Reality Check

If you need perfect conditions, constant supervision, or a supplier down the road — this isn’t it. But if you enjoy thinking, adapting, working with good people (and a Diesel Fitter who knows their gear), and getting systems running where others can’t — this could be your job.
