About The Client

Our client is developing a major copper and gold mining project in Western Australias Paterson Province, focused on responsible resource development, advanced mining practices and long-term regional benefits.

About The Position

WorkPac are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a Perth based role. Offering a 12-month duration working a Monday to Friday roster.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight of mechanical design development across crushing, conveying, grinding, flotation, concentrate handling and associated utilities
• Review and coordinate major mechanical equipment packages including mills, crushers, pumps, thickeners, filters and bulk material handling systems
• Manage mechanical interfaces between process plant, NPI facilities, vendor packages and supporting infrastructure
• Review equipment sizing, equipment selection and package integration
• Assess operability, reliability and maintainability
• Identify mechanical risks, design gaps and opportunities to improve constructability
• Coordinate technical reviews with contractors, OEMs and Winu team
• Review and respond to TQs and/or RFIs
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, constructability workshops and operational readiness reviews

Skills And Experience

• Minimum of 10 years experience in similar role
• Previous experience working with Chinese EPC contractors would be advantageous
• Experience in large scale minerals processing and mining projects
