What you will do

As assessment and transition coordinator, you will assess prisoner risks and needs.

You will help deliver programs, services and support for prisoners preparing for release.

You will:

  • conduct thorough risk and needs assessments with prisoners
  • coordinate parole applications and support case management reviews
  • help deliver practical transition and reintegration programs and services
  • work with service providers to arrange referrals and support
  • keep accurate records and data about assessments, programs and parole applications.

About you

You should have experience in or an understanding of working in a correctional environment.

You should also have:

  • knowledge of prisoner transition and reintegration needs
  • the ability to use risk assessment tools with individual prisoners
  • the resilience to work with people who may be difficult to engage
  • the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively in a prison setting.
