Your Role & Responsibilities

As an Animation Supervisor, you will act as a bridge between high-level creative direction and the daily execution of our animation team. Your core responsibilities include:

• Creative Leadership: Collaborate directly with the Animation Director and our global clients to define the specific character performance, emotional range, and visual style of our projects.
• Team Development: Lead, mentor, and supervise a diverse crew of animators. You will be responsible for fostering an environment of continuous improvement, providing constructive feedback, and nurturing talent at all experience levels.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with the Rigging and VFX departments to refine rigs, troubleshoot technical hurdles, and ensure performance briefs are achievable and optimized for production.
• Workflow Optimization: Participate in regular dailies and reviews, constantly looking for ways to streamline our animation pipeline to maximize creativity while maintaining efficiency.
• Production Oversight: Manage the “big picture” of the animation schedule. You will ensure that shot progress, production milestones, and departmental budgets are tracked, met, and communicated effectively to production management.

About You

We are looking for a seasoned professional who balances artistic flair with logistical precision. The ideal candidate will possess:

• Storytelling Expertise: A masterful grasp of composition, timing, and narrative weight. You don’t just move characters; you tell stories through movement.
• Technical Proficiency: Extensive, high-level experience with Autodesk Maya in a demanding, professional production environment.
• Leadership Presence: Proven ability to manage, motivate, and mentor large teams. You are known for your clear communication, adaptability, and your ability to keep a team focused under pressure.
• Workflow Versatility: A solid, dual understanding of both 2D and 3D character animation workflows.
• Project Management: A disciplined approach to deadline management, ensuring high-quality output without compromising the production schedule.
