Mechanical Engineering Technician

Our Client Arkle Farms (Operations) Pty Ltd, ABN – 64 631 009 482 – Located in WA 4650 is seeking a Casual Mechanical Engineering Technician

DUTIES:

• Estimate material costs and quantities and machine requirements in preparation for harvest 2024/5
• Assemble and install new mechanical assemblies and components on any and all machinery necessary for a successful harvest 2024/5
• Organizing and supervising inspection and maintenance of machines and plant for harvest 2024/5
• Purchasing and maintaining tools and equipment that are needed for harvest 2024/5
• Collect and maintain data and reports on possible improvements from harvest 2024/5 from conducting field tests during harvest 2024/5
• Work with the existing permanent team to advise on a technical level to get the best results for harvest 2024/5

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Hands on and show of commitment
• Successful completion of an appropriate degree
• Proven post-qualification experience in a similar role or ability to adapt and display skills required
• Good analytical skills, attention to detail and decision-making ability
• Proven ability and willingness to work as part of a team
• Ability to communicate across all levels of the business
• Ability to work autonomously, without supervision
• Associated bachelor’s degree
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the same role.
