State Project Lead (SA) - Defence Bases

The Role

Seeking a  State Project Lead – Defence Bases  to lead teams delivering projects from $2M to over $2B, while setting strategic direction and ensuring all works align with contractual obligations and defence/federal government standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive business growth through monitoring Tenders and leading Tender response.
• Lead Project Managers, consultants, and multidisciplinary advisory / delivery teams.
• Oversee project delivery, procurement, and alignment with corporate strategy.
• Build and maintain relationships with defence clients, government bodies, and senior stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop consulting staff.
• Act as the primary in-state point of contact for Defence client and stakeholder engagement.

Requirements:

• Australian Citizen, active NV1 / NV2
• 10+ years’ Defence Base sector experience in senior Project Management or experience in AUKUS.
• 5+ years’ experience delivering defence base upgrades, infrastructure projects, or high-profile federal site projects.
• Background in defence, government, infrastructure, or major capital projects, with an NV1 clearance.
• Proven experience managing multiple teams and engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical or Mechanical), Construction, or a related field, and/or formal PMP training.
