About The Role

Join our Insurance Australia Internal Audit team on a fixed term contract until mid July 2027. You'll support the Audit Manager and broader team to deliver high-quality audits that strengthen risk management and internal controls across the insurance business.

This is an excellent opportunity to build your experience within a well-regarded Internal Audit function that is recognised for delivering quality outcomes and developing future talent. Working across general and personal injury insurance, you'll gain broad exposure to insurance operations and strategic business initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Deliver end to end audits across the Insurance business, assessing the effectiveness of controls across key operational and strategic risk areas.
• Support audit planning activities by developing scopes, testing programs and risk assessments that focus on areas of greatest business impact.
• Analyse audit observations and testing results, translating insights into practical recommendations that support stronger business outcomes.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across the business and communicate audit findings throughout the audit lifecycle.
• Contribute to the preparation of audit reports and present findings that enable leaders to make informed risk management decisions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within Internal Audit, helping enhance the quality and efficiency of audit delivery.

What You'll Bring

• Around 3 years' experience in internal audit and/or external audit, with exposure to delivering assurance activities in complex organisations.
• Experience within insurance or broader financial services environments will be highly regarded.
• Knowledge of internal controls, risk management frameworks and auditing principles, with the ability to apply them in a practical business context.
• Strong analytical skills that enable you to assess data, identify trends and develop meaningful audit insights and recommendations.
• Well developed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate complex findings clearly and confidently.
• Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, IT or a related discipline, and professional memberships such as IIA, CA or CPA will be advantageous.
