Registered Nurse - Recovery | Newcastle

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Recovery Nurse to join a dynamic perioperative team at a private hospital in Newcastle on a part-time basis.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Recovery Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive post-anaesthetic care to patients undergoing day surgery and surgical procedures. The role requires strong clinical judgement, excellent communication skills and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be a confident and capable nurse who can work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment. You will be adaptable, proactive and committed to delivering safe, high-quality patient care throughout the recovery phase.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current registration with AHPRA;
• Demonstrated experience in a recovery, anaesthetic, perioperative or day surgery environment;
• Strong clinical assessment and patient-care skills;
• The ability to work confidently and independently while contributing positively to a team;
• Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills;
• A flexible and adaptable approach to changing clinical and operational needs;
• A strong commitment to patient safety, quality care and professional practice;
• Additional experience in anaesthetic nursing or day surgery is highly desirable.
