About the Project
The Te Pae o Tararua (2NL) highway will dramatically improve safety, resilience, and efficiency, while increasing transport choices for a growing population. The project is being delivered in partnership with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, Muapoko Tribal Authority, local hap of Ngti Raukawa ki te Tonga, and Horowhenua District Council.
- Review, prepare, and implement key quality documentation (ITPs, operational procedures, MDRs).
- Liaise with managers, engineers, supervisors, and client quality representatives.
- Coordinate on-site quality assurance activities and inspections.
- Maintain quality records and documentation.
- Perform on-site audits and assurance activities to verify that quality practices are being implemented effectively.
- Develop ITPs, quality control procedures, and inspection checklists.
- Promote a strong safety, quality, and environmental culture across the project team, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and timely quality documentation and reports for management and stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and support to engineers, supervisors, and site teams on quality requirements and verification processes.
- Support the consistent application of quality processes, inspections, and records across construction activities.
About you:
- Tertiary qualification in construction or civil engineering (or related discipline).
- Minimum of 5 years experience working with quality management systems certified or endorsed by a recognised body.
- Proven experience in quality assurance or control roles within infrastructure or civil construction.
- Sound knowledge of ISO and project compliance frameworks.
- Strong communication and reporting skills with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
- Experience using quality management reporting systems.
- Ability to provide practical guidance to engineers, supervisors, and site teams on quality requirements and verification processes.
- Able to build positive working relationships and support consistent quality practices across site teams and subcontractors.
