Registered Nurse - PACU & Recovery | Brisbane
Exciting opportunities exist for experienced Registered Nurses specialising in PACU & Recovery to join a supportive Perioperative Team at a private hospital in Brisbane. Full-time and part-time openings available.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering safe, researched-based standards of nursing care;
- Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
- Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs;
- Leading successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes;
- Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
- Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- 2 years’ RN experience in Recovery/PACU Nursing with experience in one of the following specialties: Adult & Paediatric 1 & 2ndstage recovery;
- Authority to Work in Australia;
- Working with Children Check;
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
- Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA;
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and customer focused.

The hospital, located in the South East of Brisbane, has 120 inpatient Surgical and Medical beds, a rehabilitation gym, 7 operating theatres, 2 procedure rooms, a day oncology unit, and an ICU; the facility provides care to the local community for over 40 years and continually embraces the highest quality of holistic patient care.
