About the role

The Graphic Designer plays a critical role in supporting philanthropic growth and donor engagement by delivering high-quality, compelling visual design across fundraising proposals, donor reports, and impact communications. Working closely with fundraisers and communications colleagues, the role translates complex information into clear, engaging, and donor-focused visual materials that inspire giving and demonstrate impact.

Job Responsibilities:

Fundraising Design & Support

  • Collaborate with fundraisers to design visually impactful donor proposals, pitch materials, and stewardship assets that align with fundraising strategies and donor expectations. Translate fundraising objectives into clear, persuasive visual narratives.

Impact & Donor Reporting

  • Design donor reports, impact summaries, case studies, and related materials including the Annual Report that clearly communicate outcomes, stories, and data. Ensure reports are visually engaging, accurate, and aligned with brand standards

Brand & Visual Consistency

  • Apply and uphold organisational brand guidelines across all philanthropic communications. Contribute to the evolution of templates and visual assets to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Philanthropy Communications & Impact team, fundraisers, and other internal stakeholders to understand briefs, timelines, and priorities. Incorporate feedback constructively and meet agreed deadlines.

Content & Asset Development

  • Create and manage design assets including templates, infographics, icons, and imagery to support ongoing fundraising and communications needs. Maintain organised design files and asset libraries, including Frontify and Canva.

Fundraisers, Philanthropy Communications and Impact Team

  • Partner to design proposals, reports, and donor-facing materials that support fundraising goals and donor engagement.
  • Collaborate on integrated communications, storytelling, and impact reporting initiatives.
  • Align on brand standards, messaging, and organisational priorities as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Proven experience as a graphic designer, ideally within a fundraising, not-for-profit or purpose-led organisation; or in a complex environment requiring collaboration with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience designing professional proposals, reports, and presentation materials for external audiences

Functional and Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Canva; experience with presentation design tools highly regarded.
  • Ability to translate complex information, data, and narratives into clear, engaging visual formats.
  • High attention to detail with strong layout, typography, and visual storytelling skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence working collaboratively with fundraisers and non-design stakeholders.
  • Understanding of brand application and consistency across multiple communication channels.
  • Commitment to organisational values, purpose, and a donor- and community-centred approach.

Our Proposal to You:

We are pleased to offer a full-time salary from $85,000 plus superannuation for this position. We believe in recognising and rewarding the valuable contributions of our team members.
