A leading Federal Government organisation is seeking to engage Multiple Front-End Developers / UI Designers to support the delivery of intuitive, user-centric digital services across major programs. You will work within high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams to design and develop modern web interfaces, ensuring accessibility, usability and high-quality user experiences.
The successful candidates will secure an initial 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options, based in Canberra.
The successful Multiple Front-End Developers / UI Designers will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Designing and developing user-centric interfaces and front-end components
- Translating user requirements, wireframes and prototypes into high-quality code
- Collaborating with designers, developers and stakeholders to improve user experience
- Conducting usability testing and implementing improvements based on feedback
- Ensuring accessibility and compliance with government standards
The successful candidates will have experience in the following:
- Strong front-end development skills using HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React and/or Angular)
- Experience designing UI components and working with design systems or style guides
- Experience with prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD or Axure
- Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards (Level AA minimum)
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
