Junior Full Stack Developer - Windows & Desktop Applications

Are you a Junior Developer or recent Graduate with 1+ years of experience looking for a commute closer to home on the Northern Beaches?

This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career developer who is passionate about desktop application development and wants to work on software that has a direct, real-world impact.

The business is experiencing strong growth following the onboarding of new customers and is expanding its development team with multiple new entry-to-junior level roles.

The Role

You’ll be supporting the development of a core POS application, with a strong focus on Windows desktop development and WinForms. The application is deployed directly onto POS terminals rather than being purely cloud-based, making this an ideal environment to build foundational skills in robust desktop applications and hardware integration.

You’ll work across both front-end and back-end development while receiving mentorship from an experienced team and using modern tools, including AI, to accelerate your development efficiency and code quality.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assisting in developing and enhancing Windows desktop applications
• Writing and maintaining C# and .NET code under the guidance of senior developers
• Gaining hands-on experience working with WinForms
• Supporting software deployment onto physical terminal hardware
• Contributing to both front-end and back-end development tasks
• Learning and working with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Troubleshooting, testing, and improving existing application codebases
• Working collaboratively within an agile development environment
• Utilizing AI development tools to enhance productivity, code quality, and problem-solving

About You

We’re looking for a Junior Developer or Graduate who brings 1+ years of relevant experience (including commercial experience, internships or extensive project work) and exposure to:

• C# / .NET development fundamentals
• Windows desktop application development
• Exposure to WinForms or similar desktop frameworks
• Foundational full-stack or back-end development skills
• Familiarity with Azure and/or AWS is a plus
• Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn and collaborate

Candidates with a background in Java and 1+ years of desktop/software experience will also be considered, provided you have solid programming fundamentals and are eager to transition into C#/.NET.
Most importantly, you genuinely enjoy desktop application development and are comfortable working with software that runs directly on physical devices.
