Our client, a key player in the import/export of secure goods is seeking a Trade Compliance & Supply Chain Coordinator to support the movement of products across domestic and international markets while ensuring compliance with import and export regulations. This is a unique opportunity to combine your compliance knowledge with practical involvement in inventory movements, freight coordination, warehousing activities and international trade.

For almost 50 years, the company has been a leading importer and distributor of premium and secure goods. Operating from Geelong, the business represents internationally recognised brands and manages the import, storage and distribution of products throughout Australia and selected international markets.

As the company continues to strengthen its operations and compliance framework, we are seeking a commercially minded professional who enjoys working across both regulatory compliance and supply chain functions.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, this newly evolved role combines trade compliance responsibilities with day-to-day supply chain and logistics coordination.

While maintaining compliance processes and managing regulatory obligations, you will also support the movement of goods into and out of the warehouse, coordinate freight activities and contribute to efficient supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Compliance

· Maintain and improve import and export compliance processes and procedures.

· Assist with compliance documentation, permits, approvals and reporting requirements.

· Coordinate employee compliance training and awareness initiatives.

· Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting international trade.

· Act as a key contact for compliance-related enquiries across the business.

Supply Chain & Logistics

· Coordinate inbound and outbound freight movements.

· Assist with import shipments, customs documentation and international logistics activities.

· Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, transport providers and internal stakeholders.

· Ensure accurate records are maintained across logistics and compliance functions.

· Support continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain operations.

About You

We welcome applications from candidates who have worked in compliance, logistics, freight forwarding, international trade or regulated industries.

You may currently work within

· Freight forwarding or customs brokerage

· Port operations and shipping

· Defence or defence supply chains

· Dangerous goods environments

· Pharmaceuticals or medical devices

· Food manufacturing and distribution

· Agriculture and agribusiness

· Import/export operations

· Warehousing and logistics

To Be Successful You Will Bring

· Experience in trade compliance, logistics, supply chain or international trade operations.

· Understanding of import and export documentation and regulatory requirements.

· Strong administration, documentation and record-keeping skills.

· A proactive approach and willingness to contribute across operational and compliance functions.

Experience with export controls, customs requirements, dangerous goods, regulated products or international trade regulations will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
