The Opportunity An exciting opportunity exists for a Construction & Infrastructure Lawyer (Associate / Senior Associate) to join a leading Construction & Infrastructure practice in Sydney.

Working closely with experienced partners and senior practitioners, you will advise on complex front-end construction and development matters across a broad range of industry sectors including commercial, industrial, education, mixed-use developments and FMCG.

This role offers the opportunity to work directly with sophisticated clients, gain significant client exposure, and play a key role in the procurement and delivery of major projects while continuing to develop your technical expertise and professional profile.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on front-end construction and infrastructure matters
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction and project documentation
  • Assisting developers, project managers and asset owners with project procurement strategies
  • Advising on risk allocation, project delivery models and contract administration
  • Managing matters with increasing autonomy while collaborating closely with senior lawyers and partners
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Mentoring and supporting junior lawyers within the team
  • Contributing to business development and networking initiatives

About You

  • Minimum 4 years' post-admission experience
  • Demonstrated experience in front-end construction law
  • Strong drafting and contract negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage matters autonomously while working within a collaborative team
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and commercially
  • Strong attention to detail and commercial acumen
  • Desire to develop professionally and build long-term client relationships
  • Positive, proactive and team-oriented approach
