The Opportunity:



 
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead a large operational warehouse function based in Cairns.

Managing a team of approximately 10-15 employees, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of warehouse operations, inventory control, team performance and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role will suit a hands-on leader who enjoys developing teams, improving processes and driving operational excellence. Working closely with senior stakeholders across supply chain, procurement and operations, you will play a key role in strengthening warehouse performance while supporting broader business objectives.



 
Skills & Experience:



 
Reporting into senior supply chain leadership, you will take ownership of warehouse operations, inventory control, team performance and warehouse governance.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being on the floor, mentoring teams, solving operational challenges and implementing practical improvements that deliver measurable results.
To be successful, you will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience leading warehouse, logistics or supply chain operations
  • Strong people leadership skills with experience managing operational teams
  • Experience within maritime, shipbuilding, manufacturing, defence, heavy industry or similarly complex environments highly regarded
  • Sound inventory management and warehouse governance experience
  • Experience working with ERP or warehouse management systems (IFS advantageous)
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes, efficiency and operational performance
  • Forklift Licence
  • Current Driver Licence
