Hays Recruitment is seeking an experienced Estimator for a temporary contract opportunity based in Townsville. This role offers the chance to contribute to a diverse portfolio of building projects while working alongside a collaborative and experienced project delivery team.
Your new role
As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates, quotations and tender documentation for building and construction projects.Key responsibilities include:

• Producing high-quality tender and quotation documentation for building projects
• Preparing accurate estimates, quotations, material take-offs and trade packages
• Developing construction programs and project costings
• Utilising estimating software and systems to support consistent and accurate pricing outcomes
• Assisting with estimating, contract administration and cost management practices
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve successful project outcomes
• Supporting continuous improvement and best-practice estimating processes

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous estimating experience within the building, construction or infrastructure sector
• Strong understanding of tendering and costing processes
• Experience preparing quotations, estimates and project documentation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Current Queensland Driver Licence
