Your new companyOur client is seeking a Liaison and Correspondence Officer to provide short-term support. Working closely with government bodies in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, preparing high-level cabinet submissions and briefings, and ensuring policies are effectively communicated and implemented.
Your new role
This role is critical in managing complex ministerial and parliamentary correspondence, and acting as a key liaison across departments and central agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and coordinate Cabinet submissions and Cabinet briefings.
- Develop high-quality parliamentary briefing notes and responses.
- Manage Questions on Demand (QoD) under tight deadlines.
- Draft and coordinate ministerial and executive-level correspondence.
- Act as a key liaison across government agencies.
- Ensure all correspondence is accurate, timely, and aligned with government standards.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Strong experience preparing cabinet, ministerial, and parliamentary documents.
- Exceptional written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform under high pressure and tight deadlines.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience working in or closely with a Ministerial office is highly desirable.
