Visa & Operations Specialist

Part-time

Omnicom Media

Visa & People Operations Specialist | Part Time - 4 Days | 12-Month Parental Leave Contract | Sydney

Join the team at the centre of the Omnicom Media network.

Omnicom Media is the global holding group behind a diverse portfolio of leading media, marketing and specialist agency brands. Our central People team works across the entire agency network, partnering with our businesses to deliver an exceptional experience for our people.

We’re looking for a Visa & People Operations Specialist to join this team on a part-time basis for a 12-month parental leave contract.

This is a unique opportunity to work across our entire People network and agency portfolio, gaining exposure to multiple businesses, teams and stakeholders while taking ownership of visa, immigration and mobility matters across Omnicom Media.

The opportunity

As our Visa & People Operations Specialist, you’ll play a key role in managing the end-to-end visa and immigration experience for our people. Working closely with our People Directors and broader People team, you’ll partner with employees, candidates, senior leaders, payroll, finance and our external immigration specialists to ensure our visa and mobility processes are seamless, compliant and people-focused.

What you’ll be doing

• Assess candidate and employee eligibility and support visa sponsorship processes

• Manage visa and immigration cases from initiation through to completion

• Act as the central point of contact for our external immigration partners

• Support employees and candidates throughout their visa journey

• Maintain visa and work-right compliance across our systems

• Keep across changes to Australian immigration legislation and requirements

• Partner with People Directors, our CPO, payroll and finance teams across the network

• Manage immigration documentation, invoices, budgets and associated agreements

• Support audits, reporting and Department of Home Affairs requirements

• Identify opportunities to continually improve our immigration and mobility processes

What we’re looking for

You’ll bring experience within HR, People Operations, mobility or a related environment, with a contemporary, collaborative and flexible approach.

An understanding of Australian visa and immigration legislation would be highly beneficial. You’ll also be someone who can confidently manage multiple cases and competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

You’ll bring:

• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• The confidence to work across multiple businesses and stakeholder groups

• A genuine focus on delivering a great candidate and employee experience

• Experience with immigration case management systems would be advantageous

Why Omnicom Media?

This role gives you something a little different from a traditional People Operations position. You’ll sit at the centre of a major global network, working across our full portfolio of agencies and People teams rather than being limited to one business.

You’ll join a tight-knit, collaborative People function where you’ll have visibility across the network, build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and play an important role in how we attract, mobilise and support talent across Omnicom Media.

At Omnicom, we’re committed to hiring and developing exceptional talent. We believe talent is uniquely distributed, and we’re focused on building inclusive teams that bring diverse perspectives and the best solutions to everything we do.

We strongly believe that celebrating what makes us different makes us better together.

Ready to explore your next opportunity? We’d love to hear from you.
