Step Into a Leadership Role as a Reliability & Maintenance Engineer | Global Operations
Were seeking a talented and driven Reliability & Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering leadership team and play a critical role in driving performance, reliability, and continuous improvement across our site.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this is a high-visibility leadership position where youll provide both operational direction and technical expertise to a large maintenance function including a Supervisor and a team of up to 50 skilled trades professionals.

About the RoleYoull be at the heart of site performance, responsible for:

  • Leading day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations in a high-throughput facility
  • Designing and embedding best-in-class preventative, predictive, and reliability-centred maintenance programs
  • Coaching and developing a large team, including a Supervisor and up to 50 trades staff, building capability and accountability
  • Ensuring maintenance resources are strategically aligned with production demands
  • Managing contractors and specialist providers to deliver safe, high-quality, and efficient outcomes
  • Using data-driven insights to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and increase operational efficiency
  • Contributing to capital projects, plant upgrades, and infrastructure improvements
  • Promoting a strong culture of safety, WHS compliance, and environmental responsibility

What Youll BringYoure a confident leader with strong technical depth and a continuous improvement mindset. Youll also have:

  • A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
  • Proven experience in maintenance/plant engineering within food manufacturing (meat processing advantageous)
  • A strong track record in leading large teams and developing supervisors
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, with hands-on experience in RCA, 5 Whys, PDCA, and KPI-driven performance management
  • Solid knowledge of WHS and environmental compliance standards
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated production environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience with refrigeration and boiler systems (highly regarded)
  • Additional training in reliability or maintenance engineering (desirable)
