Payroll & Finance Officer

Laneway is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Payroll & Finance professional to join their team.

This is a varied role suited to someone who is confident managing payroll and finance responsibilities, with some additional involvement in HR administration, employment documentation and external workplace relations support.

Key responsibilities include

• Managing end-to-end payroll processing
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Bank reconciliations and general finance administration
• Invoicing, payments and maintaining accurate financial records
• Assisting with reporting and month-end finance tasks
• Managing payroll records and employee-related financial information
• Assisting with employment contracts and general HR administration
• Supporting management with occasional employee and workplace matters
• Liaising with external workplace relations and industry bodies on relevant employment matters
• Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring accuracy across payroll and finance functions

About you

• Previous experience in payroll and finance/accounts
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Well organised and able to manage competing priorities
• Comfortable working independently
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong Excel and accounting/payroll software skills
• Some experience with employment contracts, workplace relations or HR administration would be an advantage

Part-Time or Full-Time

We are open to part-time or full-time applicants.

For part-time applicants, we require a minimum commitment of four days per week. Working hours can be discussed and flexibility may be available for the right person.
