The Opportunity

This is where products come to life.

As a Product Development Technologist, you’ll take ideas from concept to commercial product — helping create real food for real people and bringing products to life that become part of everyday lives.

From the first brief to launch, you’ll be part of a team translating marketing briefs into finished products — adding your own creativity and technical abilities to shape formulations, lead trials and work closely with operations, quality and suppliers to bring each product to life. It’s a role for someone who cares about the details, with a focus on quality, consistency and creating products that deliver an exceptional consumer experience.

This is a hands-on role where you will:

• Develop and commercialise new and existing products across Chobani and Gippsland Dairy
• Work end-to-end across the NPD lifecycle — from concept through to supermarket shelf, delivering exceptional food to our consumers
• Lead and support trials to bring products into manufacturing
• Partner with suppliers to source ingredients and build formulations
• Ensure technical aspects of products align to Chobani quality, shelf life and sensory requirements
• Work closely with operations, quality and marketing to deliver products at pace
• Support product performance, quality and consistency throughout launch & shelf life

Your Experience

This role suits someone who has already spent time in a product development environment and is ready to take on more ownership — someone who enjoys being close to the product and wants to build depth in a fast-paced FMCG setting.

You’re someone who

• Takes ownership and looks for ways to contribute beyond your remit.
• Has 2+ years’ experience in product development within FMCG
• A degree in Food Science, Food Technology or similar; dairy experience will be highly regarded
• Experience taking products from concept through to commercialisation
• Exposure to factory trials, processing or manufacturing environments
• Strong understanding of ingredients, formulation and product performance
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

You understand that getting a product to market isn’t one straight line — it takes persistence, problem-solving and a willingness to stay with something until it’s right
