Our multi-faceted venue includes a popular front bar, a busy restaurant, a drive-thru bottle shop, and a mix of pub rooms and motel units. We are seeking an energetic, hands-on Hotel Manager to lead our team, drive financial results, and maintain our welcoming atmosphere.

Position Overview

As the Hotel Manager, you will oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations. This includes managing front-of-house service, accommodation bookings, stock control, and regulatory compliance. You will work directly with ownership or upper management to achieve financial targets while ensuring an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Operations: Manage all operations across the bar, restaurant, drive-thru bottle shop, and motel units.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, roster, and mentor hospitality staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Financial Control: Optimize venue profitability by managing labor costs and controlling stock, 
  • Guest Relations: Maintain high visibility on the floor to engage with locals and travelers, resolving issues efficiently.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to South Australian liquor licensing laws, gaming regulations, and food safety standards.
  • Marketing & Systems: Support local events, promote venue offerings, and oversee modern digital systems like our online ordering platform.

Requirements

  • Proven Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in hospitality management, ideally running a regional pub or motel.
  • SA Licensing: Must hold a valid South Australian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate and a Responsible Person (RP) badge.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of profit and loss reporting, inventory software, and rostering.
  • Operational Flexibility: Willingness to work a standard hospitality roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Excellent Communication: High-level leadership and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with locals and travelers alike.
