Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner

The Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner is responsible for delivering high-quality behaviour support services to participants with complex support needs. This role involves conducting assessments, developing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans, providing training and coaching to stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, professional standards, and funding body requirements. The Senior Practitioner also provides leadership, mentoring, and clinical guidance to Behaviour Support Practitioners within the team.
Proficient level registration or higher, with 2 years or more experience. Must have experience in supervising Junior Behaviour Support Practitioners- both through 1:1 supervision and reviewing of documents. Working under Team Leader.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Disability, Mental Health, Community Services, or related field
- Registered Behaviour Support Practitioner with registration level Proficient or higher
- Knowledge of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission's requirements around Restrictive Practices
- Ability to form relationships and work with individuals, families, carers, staff and others
- Strong independent drive
Time Commitments
- Minimum: 16-22 billable hours per week x 46 weeks per year
- 1-3 hours of supervision for the continued professional development of junior PBSPs, every 6 weeks
- 1 hour of supervision with TL each fortnight- month and 1.5 hours of peer-based supervision every month for own continued professional development

- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- NDIS Workers Screening
- Working With Children's Check or equivalent by state
- ABN or ACN
- Professional Indemnity and Liability Insurance
- Drivers license, car, laptop, phone, home office materials
