The Department

The Anaesthesia Department is fully accredited for specialist training and delivers a comprehensive and high-quality service across the hospital, including:

* Pre-admission assessment clinics
* Acute Pain Service rounds
* Anaesthesia and sedation for medical and procedural services

The department has a strong teaching culture and supports a broad multidisciplinary training cohort, including:

* Queensland Anaesthesia Rotational Training Scheme (QARTS) trainees
* College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) trainee
* Rural Generalist trainee
* Principal House Officers (PHOs)
* Junior House Officers (JHOs)
* Dedicated Acute Pain Service Nurse

Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

* **FANZCA** with specialist registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA
* **ANZCA Advanced Trainees** within **6 months of attaining Fellowship**
* **International Medical Graduates**:

* Assessed by ANZCA as **Substantially Comparable**
* OR with **ANZCA interview dates confirmed**
* Doctors from **New Zealand, UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, South Africa, Hong Kong, and Taiwan** are encouraged to apply and may be eligible for assessment pathways
